We are pleased to share our 2024 Annual Report, which highlights a year of strategic action, knowledge generation and regional impact in the field of higher education. Through 25 flagship projects and a growing network of partners, UNESCO IESALC fostered more inclusive, quality and globally connected higher education systems in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Our work in 2024 was articulated around four strategic priorities-innovation, equity and inclusion, quality and relevance, and internationalization and academic mobility-and developed through our programmatic pillars: research, capacity building, technical cooperation and policy analysis. From the strengthening of the IESALC Campus and the launch of the Higher Education Policy Observatory, to support for academic mobility and the recognition of indigenous knowledge, we maintained our focus on transforming higher education into a public good that leaves no one behind.

In the face of global challenges transforming the educational landscape, UNESCO IESALC continues to provide timely and evidence-based support to Member States and institutions. We are deeply grateful to those who follow our work, collaborate with our mission and share our commitment to a more inclusive, resilient and future-ready higher education.
